Meet Pastor Chris Curry

Chris and fishWho I Am: I have been pastor here at Pleasant Hill Lutheran for 13 years. Prior to that I served as a teacher/coach/principal/etc. in the Lutheran school system. The best decision I ever made was to marry the wonderful Christian girl that led me to Christ and the Lutheran church. I love to teach the great truths from the Bible and it is a joy and privilege to to do that here at Pleasant Hill Lutheran.

What's Great About Pleasant Hill Lutheran? The people. As I visited with folks over the years and heard their stories, I would ask them why they came to be members at Pleasant Hill. The answers were pretty much the same: "We came here and it just felt like home. The people were so nice, we just knew this was where we belonged"

Not So Ordinary Fact: We have an unusually large family. Some adopted and some "hatched" (as our author-daughter describes them). Once when shopping at Albertson's a woman was taken aback by the gaggle of toddlers and adolescents. "Are these all yours?" she blurted out. "No, I replied, "I still owe money on several of them."

Favorite Bible Verse: Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ. I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live, I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Hobbies and Interests: Fishing, woodworking, especially building boats so I can go fishing, remodeling the home (so that Cindy will let me go fishing).
