What is Pleasant Hill Lutheran Church?

PHLC is a mix of people – some lifetime Lutherans, others new to this (or any) faith; singles, young families, empty-nesters and retirees.
Varied though we are, we share a desire to learn and grow in our faith; and express that faith through our worship and our service to one another, our community and the world.

What is LC-MS?

The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. Essentially, a traditional conservative Christian church body. You can learn more at www.lcms.org. PHLC is also a member of the Northwest District, LC-MS.

Who is Welcome?

Whether you are new to the community, new in your faith, or returning, we welcome you to visit and experience our traditional little church for yourself.

What Can I Expect at Pleasant Hill Lutheran?

You can expect a warm welcome no matter who you are! We understand that gathering for worship can mean different things to different people; some might even be experiencing it for the first time. There is no dress code. We do not make you stand up and give your name. Our worship service is traditional in that we sing hymns, read Bible verses, listen to a sermon, and pray. Church lasts about an hour. Our hope is that when you worship with us, you will learn more about God and experience His love for you.

What are we famous for?

We put on a great Vacation Bible School each summer! We have a superb traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, and each Sunday we sing from a hymnal with piano accompaniment by a superb musician. Coffee and treats after every service.
